Day Skipper Shorebased Theory Course
A sound grasp of the principles of navigation, providing the underpinning knowledge and understanding to get the best out of your Global Postioning System (GPS) or Chartplotter.
This five day course (excl home study) covers both traditional and electronic techniques.
A real must for Competent Crew wanting acquire all the theory required to move upward to Day Skipper Practical in order look after a boat themselves.

Essential Navigation and Seamanship Shorebased Theory Course
This course gives a basic understanding of navigation and safety afloat essential for anyone skippering or crewing a small boat at sea (Sail or Power). It forms a solid foundation on which to build your theory knowledge so that your time afloat can be spent safely.

Coastal Skipper & Yachtmaster Offshore Shorebased Theory Course
Advanced Navigation and Meterology is needed for Coastal Skippers to poccess the theoretical knowledge needed to Skipper a yacht on Coastal Cruises. They do not necessarily have the experience needed to undertake longer passages. The depth of theoretical knowledge and understanding together with the application of this knowledge increases from Coastal Skipper to Yachtmaster.
This is essential theory prior to taking the Coastal Skipper Practical Course over five days (excl home study) which needs to be fully understood and be capable of being demonstrated in real situations.

Yachtmaster Ocean Shorebased Theory Course
A course in astro navigation, worldwide meteorology and passage planning, which also unravels the mysteries of the sextant.
This is essential theory prior to taking Ocean passages involving extended heavy weather sailing and navigation. An invluable course for Yachtmasters wishing to attain the Yachtmaster Ocean qualification which requires examination and a paractical qualifying ocean passage being being undertaken.
